Diagnosis

The diagnosis of Smouldering Multiple Myeloma (SMM) can be defined by the presence of a monoclonal protein ≥30 g/L or bone marrow plasmacytosis of more than 10%, in the absence of anaemia, hypercalcaemia, lytic bone lesions, and renal failure attributable to a plasma cell proliferation disorder.
