Good communication is important when admitting patients to the BMTU. Please observe the following checklist:

Please observe the following:

Registrar to discuss with the Consultant re the immediate management unless this is obvious.

Note: Transfer of patients from other hospitals. The patient Flow Manager/Duty Manager must be contacted before any transfer patient is accepted, to ensure that a bed is available. Haematology patients requiring surgery should in general be admitted the day before surgery.
