Context

Low Risk MGUS

In an asymptomatic individual with normal calcium, creatinine and full blood count and an IgG paraprotein level <15 g/L (IgA paraprotein < 10 g/L) the diagnosis of MGUS can be made without more extensive investigation. Follow up can be performed by the General Practitioner with a recommendation for repeat history and examination every 6 - 12 months along with repeat testing of the immunoglobulin level, full blood count, creatinine and calcium.
